If you already know your password and need to change it because either your password is expiring soon, or you feel it is no longer secure, you can do so using two methods. The first method is by using a Windows PC on campus, and the other is through a Web Browser on the CGU portal.

Please note that this guide is not for a forgotten password or for an already expired password. Change Password from CGU Windows PC

You can update your password from any CGU Windows PC that you log into with your CGU credentials. To do so, log into the computer and follow these instructions.

  1.  After logging in press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard to bring up the following screen and click Change a Password.

     

  2.  This will open a prompt where you can enter your old password, and then a new password that meets the existing password complexity rules as seen below.
  • Passwords must contain 8 or more characters - the longer the better.
  • Passwords cannot contain your first name, middle name, or last name.
  • Passwords should have at least one upper case letter (A-Z) and at least one lower case letter (a-z).
  • Passwords should contain at least one number (0-9) OR at least one special character, such as !, #, $, %.
  • Passwords expire after 180 days.

 

Change Password on a Web Browser

Your password can be changed from any web browser by logging into the My Campus portal. To do this follow these steps.

  1. Go to the My Campus portal at https://mycampus.cgu.edu
  2. Log into the portal by clicking Sign In on the upper right side of the web page.
  3. Log into the portal using your CGU credentials.
  4.  Once logged into the portal, click on Help and then Change Password.

     

  5.  Under the Change Password section, enter a new password which meets the password requirements below and click OK.

  • Passwords cannot contain your first name, middle name, or last name.
  • Passwords should have at least one upper case letter (A-Z) and at least one lower case letter (a-z).
