"Thank you for your interest in on-campus housing at Claremont Graduate University (CGU). I believe that living on campus not only helps you as a student, but it also develops traits that will benefit you in the "real world". I encourage you to maximize your time at CGU and experience first-hand all of the benefits to living on campus". – Housing Manager
We understand that as a graduate student, academic success is the highest priority. We want you to understand that the quality of your living enviornment impacts your academic success. The CGU Apartments offer a living enviornment conducive to that success. The complex is quiet enough that it will allow you to focus on your academics, yet vibrant enough that you will have opportunities for fun while living in our community.
I encourage you to explore our website so that you will learn what I already know.....the CGU Apartments offer a living and learning experience unmatched by any other apartment complex!
Nestled in the foothills of Claremont, the CGU Apartments opened in the fall of 2008. Since that time, hundreds of students have made the choice to reside with us and experience first-hand all of the conveniences that living on campus offers. The CGU Apartments are closely surrounded by dining and entertainment, outlets, sports facilities and culture. The Claremont Village is an approximate 15-20 minute walk and it contains a wide variety of restaurants to satisfy almost every culinary desire as well as providing additional activities and nightlife. The Claremont Golf Course and the Botanical Gardens are both adjacent to the facility and each adds to the allure of the Claremont community. The Metrolink regional rail station can take you to Los Angeles and its downtown culture in a relatively short time.
Our community is comprised of five buildings with a total of 158 units and 240 bed spaces. The complex has two types of housing: apartments and suites. Apartment-style housing is available in studio, one-bedroom/one bath, and two-bedroom/two bath floorplans. Suites, which are smaller than apartments because there is no living room area, are available in two-bedroom/ one bath and three-bedroom/ two bath floorplans. All of the bedrooms in the community are single occupancy, and all of the units in the complex are fully furnished with the exception of beds.
